THE WHITE SAND IN HIDDEN BEACH RESORT

Once a traveler, always a traveler And Im getting so much addiction with this habbit that i cant just sit my ass at home doing nothing.Just like one time i was home and i felt so bored. So i had to clean my yard and cultivated the soil for replanting. Later when im done i felt like i want to refresh myself so it made up my mind to try to visit this hidden  beach resort that they mentioned to me before. So i had to bring my daughter with me so that she will enjoy aswell. I had to pack few stuffs in my bag and left. From pinamungajan market, we ride tricycle and paid 10 pesos. Its only about 15-20 minutes to travel though. Then the driver dropped us at bonbon aloguinsan where there was a rocky road going to the beach. IMG20171217132850Actually the tricycle can bring us until the entrance of the beach  but unfortunately hes got few more passengers with him,so we just had to walk going to the entrance of the beach.. From the main road ,maybe it took us about 15 minutes to walk until we saw the signage of hidden valley mountain resort. 20171217_113325We headed to the reception area where we paid the entrance. They have cottages and tables and since we dont bring anything except our backpack, we didnt bother to avail any of those. 20171217_114132Passing through a very rocky trail going down to the buttom of the hill, and we saw this white sand. 20171217_130441-02The views are amazing.lts a bit crowded on that day. There are two goups of people who are partying.l think they are from diffrent companies having a team building activity in the beach,so it was a bit noisy with laughters from these people. But still i got a chance to take some shoots where these people were a bit hidden fom the camera😂.

Me and my daugther went to swim and we refreshed ourselves until we had enough, because thats the main reason why we went there.  Soaking yourself in the water is totally  refreshing like i wanna stay there as longer as i can.  The weather that day was partly cloudy so it wasnt so hot and i didnt bothered to get sunburn. You can even put a mat on the sand and lay on it,just like  what some  people did.  But i sat on the sand though. Beach life is always fantastic! 20171217_131015-01My daughters having fun also and she even asked me if we can go back there, well its possible though. Its only 20 mins. away from home.

This resort can be occupied even overnight. They have rooms available or if you are a budgetarian traveler,  you can put your tent on the ground and sleep in it overnight though. And If you like to have a scenic view in the beach,  Hidden Beach Resort has it😊.20171217_115004-01

HAPPY TRAVELING!!!!

FILM LEARNING EXPERIENCE

Since i started this blog and adventure things, there are things that i really want to learn about because im not  too good at it.One of those things are getting a good angles on photography, how to make a video. But i know this things will take time until you finally learned. Im not ashame to admit that only using my phone to capture a photos of my adventures and i made videos manually.lm not ashame because we all have the weakest part of our knowledge which it only needs to get improved.

Few days ago, one of my friends GEOFF CHRISTIAN from social media posted that he needs somebody to do a hands on videography training. So i responded that i want to go because i want to learn.

So the next day at noon time,i meet this guy for the first time when he pick me up and went to the event area. I actually just saw him online and hes got a lot of awsome photos and videos on his profile. I really thought that they are just going to make a video shooting like film making, i dont have any ideas that they are going to make a coverage to a company’s christmas party!!!IMG20171207165243 So the training is actually on the spot!! I was a little bit nervous because they might get dissapoint if im doing wrong hehehe but im also thinking that its only  a training and not a real job for me.

Geoff introduced me to his team: CEDI  CAVADA and KENSHIN MORENO20171207_163803.Cedi is also a photographer and a video editor like geoff, while kenshin is a photographer and hes also one of those who responded geoff’s invitation, meaning me and kenshin will be the assistants of geoff and cedi.

While the event didnt start yet, geoff gave me some tips on how to make a the basic video making, adjusting the lense, fucos and everything. And so as cedi. He thaught me where to standby, how to possition the camera in order to get a good angles.IMG20171207164808 So it was not so hard to do since  these two expained well.

And then some of these company  employees started to come and  had a short briefing with us,what are those monent that needs to get captured and everything, and then they interviewed one of the heads of the company and thats my first try  of the coverage. IMG20171207164301

IMG_20171207_194012The interviewer used  a zoom h4n recorder in order the get the clear voice without copying the noisy background. IMG20171207163104

Then 4 of us positioned from diffrent corners of the hall. I was near at the entrance so i can capture the people when they come in, cedi was at the middle while geoff and kenshin was at the diffrent corners also.

It was exactly 5 pm when the party started and their theme was star wars  and most of these people are wearing star wars costume. So they started to come in,  im using a go pro camera, while the others has their big cameras and a drone used by geoff.IMG20171207173104

When these people are all in, i had to run to the front so i can capture the near scenes and as what cedi told me. They started the program with a national antheme, followed by the speech of the company leaders and some intermission numbers from the workers then an awarding of those outstanding employees.IMG20171207204233IMG20171207194647IMG20171207205912 They had cut the program for the dinner.lt was a buffet  served by a caterer from cebu. And since i was there, i also observed about their service so i could apply it to my store and catering business that im gonna start soon. Its amazing that these caterers had to travel all their stuffs from the city, even the foods that they served. So its not easy for  the beginner to do a catering service  specially when you dont have an  enough idea on how to start and manage it. I need to learn  more of it.IMG20171207170421It was totally enjoying to see these people who are enjoying and it feels great that somehow you became a part of thier event  even if  you are only a media personel thats covers about the happenings of their gathering. IT WAS WORTH KIND OF LEARNING.

I would like to thank sir geoff christian and his team for inviting me to the said activity. I learned somehow but i really love to learn more. And i will look forward to his next invitations 😊20171207_210334-01

ANOTHER WORTH EXPLORING SPOTS IN LAMAC

Im still surpised until now that pinamungajan has plenty of beautiful spots to offer to everyone when it talks about nature. From cave, falls, sandbar and spring that i’ve been explored before, i never know that theres still more spots that are untouch my many explorers.Whats the good thing about exploring unknown places is that the place is away from the crowd and you can feel the true essence of nature.Thats why i prefered to be in the woods either alone or with 1 or 2 companion specially when i am new to the place. Its more convinient and less worries to the people who are with you on the trip.

Like i said,  i explored the top destinations here in pinamungajan already but  i believed that there will be more places to be explored around. Theres one time that my friend from social media invited me if i can go  to lamac. Lamac is one of the barangays of pinamungajan  that has plenty of wonderful nature such as the kamangon cave, odlum falls and sinungkolan spring(see from my previous blogs).

So i accepted this guys invitation and we set a day to go there. We agreed to explore the  LIKING BATO,–MAGKAWA CAVE,—MAGKAWA CLIFF—CHASING BALAY DUGONG FALLS ,—AND BAGAKAY FALLS.

The day of our trip

So i packed what i needed (water, extra cloth, and my favorite samurai😂) and traveled to lamac to meet him. We meet around 8:30 am at the front of hidden valley mountain resort.. The places that we were about to explore is at the top of the mountain so i expected already about the view of entire lamac once we get there. I was a bit excited😂..

We started climbing the hill, passing through a rocky and forest portion of our trail and since it was a bit rainy,   the pathway was a bit slippery so you really have to be careful. 20171126_11561520171126_114322

20171126_114749
magkawa cliff..thats where we going to climb

After 20 minutes of climb, we reached the LIKING BATO.20171126_113645 Its a pathway between the two high  rock walls but it was covered with big vines and small tress. Maybe if its not covered, it would look extra ordinary .and worthy to explore. There was a side of it that we had fun to climb on while we are resting. IMG20171126092138After few minutes of rest,, we continue to climb going to magkawa cave. I tell you guys, Lamac has 108 caves that are close to each other. And it was discovered last 2004 when there was caving summit congress held by a group of cavers from diffrent part of philippines and they held the activity lamac ,later they found out that there are 108 caves in there. And when we are on the way to magkawa cave,  i saw 4 of those caves.  All b2 caves. And they are all next to the pathway,so you really have to be extra careful on the slippery  and bushy trail otherwise you will fall straight to those caves.Struggling isnt it?  But nobody can stop us and we are both determined to reach the top of magkawa cave and the cliff.. Maybe another 20 minutes until we reach the magkawa cave. IMG20171126094553IMG20171126094350Its a very huge cave but not like other caves that you can enter and walk inside. This one looks like a very huge sinkhole.. Theres no chance to go down to the bottom because we dont have a proper rappelling  gears..and if you fall down there, its very hard that you can be rescued.. Not unless you have  a firesignal. As we get closer to the cliff, the more struggling experience  that we encountered.. We had to cross between the two rock walls that only connected with few pieces of woods. And the bottom of those rocks maybe 20 feet below. So one mistake, you will surely fall down to the bottom. But we managed to cross.IMG20171126101729

There are pointy rocks in there that looked like a dragon’s territory lol it just looked the same as the one i saw in the movie..IMG_20171130_204723_246

Just like the saying, “good places can be seen after the hardest climb”.well i can say that despite the hardship that we encountered from climbing the hill, and climbing those high and pointy rocks,  those are worthy because the view was totally amazing.. Specially when you are at the cliff.. I even screamed because i conquered my fear of hieghts. The view of lamac was very nice and   it was worth exploring. We took pictures and rest for a bit before we go back to our trail. Atleast we knew how it looks over there and it somehow healed my curiousity.IMG20171126110550IMG20171126105647IMG_20171127_175756IMG20171126104103received_356266474835461

So we went back to our trail and headed to the river. Another impression about in lamac is that they have an abundance of water. That you cannot just wash your clothes or water your plants but also you can swim or dive on it.. Not all the town has free water though. Some others are paying their water bill every month.. But here in lamac, its totally a zero cost and free for everyone😊.  So we reached to the top of the river and saw the bagakay falls and balay dugong falls.. They called it balay dugong falls because it was discovered when there was a tv series about sea creatures and there was one of the characters named dugong who live in the cave. And since the falls has a cave at the back of the water drop, they called it balay dugong falls or litterally means-house of dugong.IMG_20171129_110014_060  Its called  Bagakay falls because the falls was sorrounded by bagakays. Bagakay is one the type of bamboos but is thinner than the regular ones.20171126_121628-01

So if you guys wanna go there, you can contact me but i can only recommend the chasing of those waterfalls that i’ve explored.Climbing on cliff, mmm maybe its not advisable for everyone.its too risky.

GONNA WRITE MORE SOON.

HAPPY TRAVELING!!

TREKKING FOR A CAUSE

As i continue to explore places, there are people who invited me already to join in their adventures. Such as TEAM KALAIN or a group of mountaineers who explore diffrent places. They climb mountains, chasing falls ,overnight camping and even rock climbing.lt was few months ago when they invited me to join them as they are going to try this rock climbing in cantabacco toledo city.

FB_IMG_1511155790287 https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1598287056894733&id=153803201343133

I found very uneasy when i meet these guys because it was the first time that i meet them in person.  I only knew their names and  was only talking to them online. But these people are very warm so it didnt take me  a long  time until i get along with their convos and later we had fun talking already.

It was totally an  amazing adventure. . I thought i cant make it to the top   of the rock but i found myself doing it very easy. Maybe because im just very light and very determined 😁.

Anyway, so that was the first that i joined with these people. And then they invited me again to join in their trek for cause. They created an event for the benifits  of a patient who had a brain tumor. received_348431882285587I was interested to join because  its not just a simple type of a trek. You trek for the benifits of others. Its sounds cool for me. I also invited few trail runners cos the activity is open for all the joiners and you will only give any amount as a donation. So since im from pinamungajan and is about 2 hrs away from the city,  i woke up  early so i could prepare the stuffs that i need to bring specifically the foods and water.I left at 5 am. Ride in a bus.Normally im not so fond on an airconed bus because it makes me dizzy and feel like vomitting but i had no choice because theres no other bus in the station. They all left. Glad i had a jacket to keep me warm.

I arrived at the city around 7 am and i ate breakfast at the bus terminal cos i was totally drained from 2 hrs travel:vomitting and headache plus a dizzy experience in an airconed-bus 😷

But atleast i reached the city. I ate and feel better again.  Hehhee. I arrived in jy lahug-our meeting place.Meeting to some of the members from  team kalain while others are on the way and  people from difrrent groups.l was surprised  about the numbers of people who joined.. I can estimate maybe around 80 people.,Also i meet these trail runners whom i meet for the first time  aswell. Theyre very friendly thoughIMG20171111083027. So from jy-we rode on a jeep going to busay -after temple of lea. When we all arrived,  we had a short prayer, followed by a short briefing, reminders and introduction of all the joiners.IMG20171111092152IMG20171111091838We also took a group picture before we started the trail. IMG20171111093102

The weather is not so hot but there are hills that we went through so you really need to have lots of water. I brought 2 liters of water with me but it wasnt enough. Glad theres a water machine at one of the houses that we passed by so everyone had a refill. IMG20171111094131IMG20171111111521IMG20171111111056IMG20171111112926

FB_IMG_1510527951170IMG20171111113308It took us about 2 hrs of hiking until we reached the bucaue peak. I can see the balamban hills already at the other side of the peak while other side is the view of cebu city.20171111_11403720171111_113718.jpgWhile everyones resting,  i took a photo with kalain fam and then also had a group picture again before we went down from the peak to find a shade for lunch. 20171111_113930FB_IMG_1510528078322I was really hungry. So when we found a shade, we ate and relax for a bit. And i didnt know that they prapered a game and they have a prizes for it. They have this thug of war game wherein two opposite groups will play by pulling the rope. Whoever will fall down will be the losers but it didnt happen cos the rope was broken so the two groups was declared as winners.. And its very funny cos i was one of those who played and when the rope broke,i fell down and i didnt know what to do, its either i laugh first or go up 😂😂😂😂😂 FB_IMG_1511160434413FB_IMG_1510528220599Before we go back to the trail we took another group picture. FB_IMG_1511160345854FB_IMG_1511160327233The rain poured down. And instead of going down to guadalupe  to chase this napo falls that they talked about, we went straight to busay to ride a jeepney going down to jy because the mountain is prone to landslide. And the worse thing is, it fogs like all you can see is only the pathway.IMG20171111140452IMG20171111140702IMG20171111140912

Atleast were safe even if everyones wet from the rain. But it didnt matter because everyones having fun specially me cos i keep laughing  about the convo with kalain fellas. IMG20171111153538IMG20171111153323There will be more trekking soon and i will look forward to it. Its open for everyone so if you guys want to join, you can visit their facebook page for updates

HAPPY TRAVELING!!!  CHEERS TO MORE ADVENTUTRES.

THE AMAZING CAMPALABO SANDBAR

Campalabo sandbar is one of the most interesting place that ‘ive visited  in pinamungajan. Its a strip of  white sand and is about 20 minutes away from the mainland.lts near in marine sanctuary so this place is very ideal for diving, snorkeling and swimming. Also its a no fishing zone so whatever you see in here is for your eyes only. As an explorer, i have this motto which others are also doing it “take nothing but pictures, and leave nothing but footprints”The local tourism is conserving the place because there are lots of corals that you can see under the water. Its pretty amazing that once you are there, you can see the small creatures swimming next to you 😊.

On my first time of visiting the sandbar, i was with the social welfare staffs because they wanted to go with me but we are a bit late.lnstead of meeting up by 7 am so we can leave and reach there before 8:30(the lowest tide) , some of these guys arrived around 8:45 am already and its about 10 mins to go the beach where we rent a boat.. Its totally late. But still we went to the sandbar. When we arrived, the waters high  already and theres a little bit of sand showing up.. FB_IMG_1508923865838FB_IMG_1508923860438 Its not disappointing that we are late because these place has a lot of things to offer . If its low tide, you can see the white sand and you can lay down on it, but if its high tide, well its very perfect for swimming and diving. Theres a part of the light house where you can dive when the water is high. IMG_20171116_145954

IMG_20171116_150014

I told myself i always go back here. And just last weekend, i went back there with pinamungajan tourism fellas: yogi ygay-tourism designate, venus her friend ,jake and the rest from tourism office staffs.

https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100015643651302

We went there  for a photoshoot of the sandbar because they will launch a tour package very soon.We also had a professional photographer with us :ivan perez from municipality of pinamungajan who took us a very nice photos. Also i brought my foriegn friend sir barry. I actually just meet him about few weeks ago and he was new in the town and one time he visited my store cos theyre looking for foods to eat and thats how i meet him.  I showed him those wonderful places that i explored in pinamungajan and hes very interesting to explore them. And the sandbar was the first that he wanted to see.

6:30 am i meet sir barry and his wife and two of their family members. They thought that we will go caving because i mention a lot of good places but i guess sir barry didnt told them where we exactly going and these guys are wearing jeans and rubber shoes.. Were not gonna climb mountains but were going to swim. And they were surprised with it 😁 but theres no time to change because we need to be there at the sandbar before the lowest tide otherwise we will gonna miss it just  like the first time that we went there. So we left and meet miss yogi and her team at bugsay public beach resort. And i introduced them to my guests on that day. FB_IMG_1510816693237

As soon as we finished loading our stuffs to the boat, we left to the sandbar. That time the lowest tide was 10:57 am but we left around 8 oclock and the sandbar is only about 20 mins away.. Its better to be early though so that you can really see the entire sandbar.IMG20171112074401

When we arrived there, theres already a bit of sands that showing up and we just have to wait for an hour until the entire sand appears..

I brought my lazy air bed with me as part of our props for the photoshoot.. Cos i was one of the models of the day hahahaa.. As if i was like a model lol. IMG_20171115_153936_770received_1938557286170906received_1938558129504155Ivan took us a photo also from the top of the light house which looks very cool😎.received_1938558156170819Hes got a very good skills on photography,i wish i will learn that one day.received_1938558006170834

received_1938558482837453

While others are busy taking their photos also, some of our members were preparing a very mouth watering foods-maybe you can say im a sugar coating to my words but who will not gonna starve to this 👇?FB_IMG_1510816713737

Maybe some of you  (friends from outside the country) are not familiar with this foods but we, filipinos are on demand with this type of foods specially when swimming in the beach.

Grilled fish

Poso-or  steam rice wrapped in coconut leaves

Kinilaw-the one in the white container. Its raw small fish but its cooked with vinegar and some spices on it.

Dipping sauce

Boiled sweet potatoes  and boiled bananas.

Let me know if you wanna try this.

After our lunch, other people went to snorkeling, others are just sitting on the sandbar. And since we already are there, i asked sir barry about how he described campalabo sandbar.. See our convo here👇

https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=350743305387778&id=100013563348939

And he even posed a blogger style pose for me 😁 because he knows im gonna blog this. 20171112_075537

Being away from a noisy and traffic environment is one way of destressing and my way of destressing myself is to explore unknown places but being in this sandbar is not just  keeping you  from stessful world but it offers a total relaxation, peace of mind, and i can say its a diffrent kind of adventure.

I will update soon once their tour package  will be launched already. How to rent a boat and everything. But one thing to remind everyone, visit here before the lowest tide.

HAPPY TRAVELING!!!

GEN.

ULBOHAN AND PAGATPATAN

As an explorer, i have this though of where to go next?l have a friend and we decided to go to brgy. Tupas pinamungajan on a weekend  to see this cornhill that they talked about, but then he didnt make it because hes got another stuff to do. So i decided to go somewhere else instead. And since i saw this ulbohan spring in the tourism book of pinamungajan, it made me curious of whats in there, what looks like or how it feels being there? So i brought my staff with me and go there. We rode a motorbike from poblacion, pinamungajan  to mohon aloguinsan. It was actually our first time to go there and then i just gathered an info on how to go to that place. So from mohon main road we trekked for about 30 mins on a rocky road until we are almost close to the spring. And we saw houses so we asked where exactly is the spring then they pointed the way to go there. Passing through a small pathway in the cliff for few mins then we finally saw the ulbohan spring. 20171105_124002-01

I really like the fact that there is a cave and water on it so its very perfect for me for swimming. Well i like caving and swimming thats why i say its perfect 😁 The water is very clear and you can even see your feet at the buttom. The cave is only about 4 or 5 meters long and its only water in there. Kinda romantic for dating hehehhe. IMG_20171107_102140_458

There were kids also who are enjoying the water and i asked one of them if i can take her a photo while flipping her hair back. 20171105_123250-01As i taking her a photo, some of the kids enjoyed watching her and they laugh like its so much enjoying for them. I feel like going back to my childhood 😂

When they left,  i took more photos of my self with the help of my staff, and enjoyed the spring til i had enough. 20171105_122905-01-120171105_122324-01IMG20171105120758-01Its almost 12 noon when we went back to the main road and it seems like its too early to go home? So we decided to go to brgy. Tutay to see this “bantayan sa hari”.its a historical place during the spaniards where people went there for trading. And from mohon, tutay is only a few distance away so we just take a walk going there instead of riding on a vehicle. We reached this place called pagatpatan reataurant. Its a fishery farm and theres a restaurant on it where they sold a variety of fresh seafoods.. When i asked them if how much is the rent of the boat to bantayan and they said that its 150.00/ person. Its sounds expensive for me hehhee and they said that we must go there during low tide so the entire island will shows up,unfortunately its high tide when we arrived there and we had to wait for 3 hrs until its low tide. So while we are there at the restaurant, one of their staff recognised me.She said she saw my camangon cave adventure in a facebook page. And then she started to stalk my profile hehhee. Im getting famous lol just kidding. She talked a lot about my adventures to the owner “sir boyong” and then they knew i was a blogger. So sir boyong asked me if i can feature his store on my blog. Well what can i do while waiting the low tide?  I dont wanna sit down and just talk for hours so i explored their place istead. 20171105_143301-01-120171105_135040-01-120171105_134437-01-120171105_134315-01-120171105_133754-01-120171105_134049-02-1I really like the view of their place specially the mangrove areas.

They serve fresh seafoods like oysters, crabs and fish.. I will look forward to taste all of those when i get back 😁 and i also got a chance to have a convo with the owner, like a short interview.see here—>https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=351027812025994&id=100013563348939

After i talked with the owner, they gave us some foods then continue to explore their places. IMG20171105143720IMG20171105143825IMG20171105151043

lf you guys are wondering why its called pagatpatan, simply because its located at the mangrove areas.and if you wish to visit here, you can visit their facebook page for more info

So after exploring pagatpatan, and its low tide already, we tried to go to bantayan sa hari. I spoke to a guy who works at the fishpond if its possible to go that place even without a boat, he said we can and we will just walk along the side of the fishpond and climb the hill until we reach to the other side of the sea. Its kinda bushy though and then we got there. Its just a bushy island actually. Not so interesting about whats in there but atleast, it healed my curiousity 😂

HAPPY TRAVELING.!!!!

THE HIDDEN GEMS OF SUDLON II CEBU CITY

    SHORT HISTORY OF                SUDLON II

Way back in 1946 in  the month of March, the Moncadistas arrived in Sudlon. The first fellow they met was Mr. Estiban Gabisan, who introduced himself as the Teniente del Bario of Sudlon, Toledo, Cebu and Cebu City. When the Moncadistas asked him why the place was called Sudlon, he answered that the barrio was named as such because of the water that passed through undeground caves.

To “sulod” in Bisaya means “to enter” hence, Sudlon means a place.

SUdlon ll is bounded by north of balamban, south by sudlon l,east of brgy. Bonbon cebu and west of toledo city. It is accessible via jy road for about 1 1/2 hrs through motorbike. Or via toledo pangamihan road for about 2 hrs if you are from toledo city proper.

There landmarks are public market, integrated school, jaime moncado compound, cemetery etc. The weather is very cold like its a cebu version of baguio city. They grown plenty of vegetables such as lettuce, carrots, cabbage, cucumbers and rootcrops.

It was  a long weekend when i decided to invite the youth organization that i created in the mountain  to go  with me to  visit the compound of gen. Jaime moncado because i promised that i take them out one time.

BACKGROUND OF OLD BUCAO YOUTH ORGANIZATIONFB_IMG_1510147298323FB_IMG_1510147442563FB_IMG_1510147434140

I created this youth organization last 2 years ago because when i arrived home from manila and i saw these fellas are not organised when holding their events during the fiesta in the mountain. So i gathered them and we elected officers. Then we agreed to have a fund raising program like we will contribute P5.00 each every sunday and thats for the entire year until the next fiesta and we did it.. And we already held 2 succcesful fiesta activities in the mountain. Thats why in order to celebrate, we went out as our outing experience together.  We also held a feeding activity during lenten season wherein we feed the participants of “tiniblas”seminar.Tiniblas is a catholic related seminar activity and my neighbors were participating it and the youth decided to feed them. This organization is not that familiar because we dont have much funds to do things to make our team grow. But who knows one  day we’ll find a sponsor 😁 lt will not be my benifits but for these young people.

The Day to SUDLON II

The day before we go to sudlon, we already agreed everything about what will we bring and what time will we leave. So we woke up very early and started to hike. It was very cold morning, muddy and slippery so we had no choice but to barefoot: no shoes or slippers. We crossed the river in camincilis and we got a time to clean our foot..We paused for a bit beside the river and waited for the rest of the members who left behind. When we all gathered, we prayed first before we move again. We hike for about 15 mins.  Until we reach the buttom part of mt. Pangamihan.its very smooth trail cos their road was already concreted  BUT the thing is,  its very steep.the mountain is very high and you really need to stop every once in  a while to rest. It took us about an hour til we reach the top.IMG20171102091014-02IMG20171102094918While other teens are busy doing their selfies at the top of the mountain, im taking myself some photos also. For my own compilations 😊IMG20171102091222
So after a short rest and selfies, we moved and hike again. Some of the members are already complaining because its very hot and they were out of water. Glad there are houses beside the road that we can ask for water.
It took us about 2 hours until we reached one of the barangays of sudlon called guinduwahon. And they have this very nice newly built BIRHEN SA BARANGAY SHRINE. built on the top of the mountain. IMG20171102104121IMG20171102104612And at the back of the shrine was a very nice view like its a hidden paradise:everything is green plus a high drop of guinduwahon falls. I already fell inlove with this place. Its pretty amazingIMG20171102103503So while others are waiting, i took a chance to take tons of pictures of it cos i cant have enough of just seeing it. I could say i could live over here!!Peaceful place, green nature plus my favorite : waterfalls that i could refresh myself everyday 😁.IMG20171102103059
It was around 11:00 o clock and we have to move because they said that sudlon proper is still very far.  Some of the teens are moving ahead cos i keep stopping to get more photos. Then i found this mini baguio place that it really looks like youre in baguio City due to its pines trees Plus the 23 degrees freezy temperature of the place. IMG20171102110948IMG2017110211103220171102_145152-01-120171102_145136-01-120171102_141428-01 And here, they grown a lot of green vegetables such as lettuce, carrots, cabbage and cucumbers. Wow. A grassy food eater like me will surely survive in here. Mmm green foods.IMG20171102145854IMG20171102134617It was 12 noon that we finally reach sudlon proper. We went strsight to the compound of the late Gen. Jaime Moncado, cos thats one of  main goal why we hike to sudlon..to visit his compound. Also we got a chance to interview to one of guard who look after the place. IMG20171102112954IMG2017110212102120171102_122104-0120171102_122148-01-120171102_122356-0120171102_132709According to the guard that we interviewed,Gen.Jaime Moncado is one of the successor during world war ll and he built this compound as a hide out  for the soldiers who fough againts japan. He died due to heart complications. I actually like to know more about his story cos it sounds very interesting for me and im sure im gonna go back one day. Meanwhile, I got a chance to take a photo with one of gen. Monacdos guard and im pretty sure that i will have a time with him and talk more about the late general on my next visit. IMG20171102133705After having our lunch, we took more photos and of course the groupie was included. IMG20171102121517IMG20171102121134IMG20171102133249
IMG20171102133300That day was a great memory of everyone with me on my sudlon adventure. I can see it through their happy  faces, that going to sudlon was never a dream for them anymore. Its a dream come true  cos some of their parents didnt let them to go  by themselves and if not because of me im sure these young people cant go there.
I concluded this trip as  one of my succesful adventure.Being with the youth is another story. Im having  a lot of fun with them.😊

       HAPPY                  TRAVELING!!

THE BEAUTY OF MALUBOG LAKE

Malubog Lake is one of the tourist attraction of Toledo City.lt is located at Gen.Climaco or people used the place as casoy..Also its one of the  food source of the residents due to its abundance of tilapia fish , shrimps and some shellfish.

l was born in casoy and since when i was a kid,i really admire how beautiful the lake is..

When social media got trendy,i used to get along to what others are doing such as taking photos of diffrent places. And it came up to my mind that what if im going to share a photo of malubog from diffrent locations?

FB_IMG_1509941079970
heres the first photo that i captured but its been a long time ago that i took it and i just saved it so i have a look back from my past adventures

First photo i got was on the side of the lake, where the pumpboat picking up passengers to cross the lake.lf you guys want to visit here, you can experience crossing the lake through pumpboating or kayaking.l saw few foriegners before that they swam across lake.wow i cant do that..i dont enough air to breath lol..

FB_IMG_1509941118777Everytime i go home in the mountain,i never miss a chance to get some photos of my homeland including this malubog lake..its either rainy or sunny day, malubog lake never out of its nature beauty.

Recent photo taken at sitio artiwi when i went to visit my relatives in the other side of the mountains
FB_IMG_1509941134243
also a recent photo taken pangamihan peak

FB_IMG_1509941128915Last photos i captured with the view of the lake was last weekend when i took my youth org. to visit sudlon ll (soon to blog) where they enjoyed the whole day hike from casoy to sudlon ll just to visit the compound of the late gen.jaime moncado.he was a successor during world war ll.Anyway im gonna tell you more about it on my next blog.

When we are on the way there, there was a peak in pangamihan that you can see the lake from the very far sight..lf you will go there, you will realise how far you went through because the lake is very small already.lsnt it amazing that even if you are at the very far or very high mountain, you can still recognise the lake?cool isnt it..

As a resident of casoy,i could say that Malubog lake is something i can be proud of not only because of its natural resources of foods but also its natural and magistic beauty wherever corners you will go or even on the high mountains, the lake is always amazing.

lf your planning to go here ,you can just ride a jeepney  from toledo  to casoy..theyre picking up passengers near toledo market across rhats hardware. and youre only going to pay 20.00 only. Then once youre in casoy, you can see the lake already..

TOP 6 BEAUTIFUL DESTINATIONS TO VISIT IN PINAMUNGAJAN

GIMG_20171025_204054Pinamungajan is a municipality located in the mid-western part of cebu, and is Costal town that faces the island of Negros.lts about 2hrs to drive from the main city of cebu or 64kms  passing through Toledo City. Also it can be reached through 74kms ride via Carcar city.

Pinamungajan is one of the most lucky town because of their natural resources such as amazing waterfalls, spring, caves, peaks ,sandbars, beaches and  so many more. And its not only  their nature why i could say that Pinamungajan is trully amazing but also the characteristics of the people around. They are very warm and very friendly. Im actually not from Pinamungajan.l only moved here earlier this year to find some fortune😀.At first,  i didn’t know anybody so i felt like a total stranger but it didnt last long because some new neighbors used to greet me and that made me feel a bit comfortable.Although i was a bit shy-type person but it didn’t last long when my circle of friends grow.

One day, i realized that being in the business field is a bit stressful so i decided to do some work out like jogging and i tried to  make different routes everyday and i tell  you what, the longer i do  jogging, the more i get so much energy and i didn’t realize that i already ran through  forest part of pinamungajan. And that’s how i started to have an interest about adventures. FB_IMG_1508917661656FB_IMG_1508917652508

Those photos i got are only the basic places that you can find around pinamungajan. And the following are the amazing  and interesting places that i explored for few months of living here:

TALKING ABOUT EXPLORING THE NATURE

1.SINUNGKOLAN SPRINGIMG_2734

FB_IMG_1508920299778FB_IMG_1508920312866

Sinungkolan spring offers the fresh and very cold water to relax to. Its quite deep and is suitable for diving experience.lt is one of the treasure found in brgy. Lamac pinamungajan,5 mins.away from the back of Hidden valley mountain resort. See comments here—>https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1536631876393585&id=153803201343133

2.ODLUM FALLS20170819_093853

IMG20170819102749Odlum is also located at lamac pinamungajan and its 3 times higher than the kawasan falls of badian. —> See my previous blog.  and here —>https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1550764731646966&id=153803201343133.

3.CAMANGON CAVEFB_IMG_1508921376653FB_IMG_1508921382544FB_IMG_1508921393424

Camangon Cave is also one of the precious gems of brgy. Lamac Pinamungajan and they preserved it since from the very long years ago until now. They implemented a strict rules like you cant get through there without the permision from the tourism office. So if you wish to get inside the cave, you must coordinate to the tourism office first so that they will give you a note which you will give to the local brgy.of Lamac.. Then the brgy.will be the one to contact their tourist guide. This time, there will be a tourism fees :

250.00/6 people

&20.00/per person to be given to the brgy.

But dont worry about the fees, because your experience inside is more than 250.00.I can guarantee that. Its pretty amazing.lts something that you dont expect that they exist. Those sparkling stones inside makes you amaze and all you can say is WOW!!! .And if i’ll be given a chance to go back there, i wont be tired of going back no mtter how many times 😊

4.BUSAGAK FALLSFB_IMG_1508116440727Busagak falls of brgy. Busay. Its very deep and its a bit challenging if you wish to jump off from the top because its very high and the water is very deep. I cound say 15-20 ft high. So if you are a good swimmer and if you like to jump off to the water?  Busagak falls will be one of your choice.

5.LIKI FALLS

FB_IMG_1508922564993

Liki falls level ll

FB_IMG_1508923219337

Liki falls level lll

Liki falls of brgy. Sacsac is 40 mins trail from the road and if you can see, there is level l,ll, and level lll.. Thats because you will pass through this 2 unknown waterfalls before you reach the  real liki falls Thats why i had to put a name on them to get recognised. Read the funny story on my previous blog on how i found this liki falls. Also see the comments here —->https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1595425077180931&id=153803201343133

6.CAMPLABO SANDBARFB_IMG_1508923865838FB_IMG_1508923860438

Campalabo lslet has  a total area of 6,000 sq.meter sandbar which changes thus its called a “dancing Sandbar”.The place is picturesque during the early morning and sunset. According to the folklore, there was a warrior named campalabo and he fell inlove to the beautiful lady in pinamungajan  who had a number of suitors. And eventually the woman fell inlove with him so he took her away and brought to the campalabo islet that he created… Its sounds like this place was created in the name of love.. Take me there Romeo 😀..

https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1559420854117904&id=470595346333799

So if you like to explore the sandbar, you just simply go to  bugsay  or pinamungajan public beach in tajao where you can rent a pumpboat for about 1,000.00 for 10 people. Just make sure that you will go there during low tide because thats the time that the sandbar shows up.. Its invisible during high tide so it  really takes a  good timing.

So far, those are the places that i could say as the top and interesting places to visit here in pinamungajan. And im very proud that i got a chance to share this to the world,in fact there are two teams already who i’ve accompanied with around pinamungajan.:

🌐 -a group of bloggers who helped to make the town  even more familiar.

https://www.facebook.com/cebuteambang/

🌐-and a group of adventurers from cebu city.  who even tried the foods from my shop.

https://www.facebook.com/tribuhubo/

And im very thankful that i was recognised and they came. This will encourage me to explore more in pinamungajan because there are still heaps of unexplored places which i will look forward to visit soon..

ITS MORE FUN IN PINAMUNGAJAN!!!

LIKI FALLS ADVENTURE

Another hidden and unexplore gem of pinamungajan is the liki Falls. Its is located at brgy.sacsac pinamungajan. Accessible by any vehicles via sta. Cruz mangoto or if you are at the westside, it is best explore via brgy. sacsac road.

My first time to hike to liki falls is not as easy as what people thought because we were lost when were on the way to the falls.😂The habal-habal driver dropped us at the wrong area and it was really not the right route to the falls. So we climbed to the mountain and we were so glad that we found a house at the top and we asked one guy over there if he can go with us atleast until we reach the river. So from the mountain, he guided us to the rocky cliff and we went down to the river. Then  we started walking along the river and finding the liki falls. After 20 minutes of walking we found this falls that we thought that it was the liki falls .FB_IMG_1506915590131

FB_IMG_1507295360805

So we took pictures and swim after. And thats it.. But then when i posted it on social media, it made me confused because there are people said that it was the liki falls and some others said that it was not,and i was already home when i posted it and no chance to go back there on that day. Some people said that the liki falls is after the falls that we found.. So we decided to go back there on the following weekend.

Saturday morning, we packed and left home to find this liki falls again.. We passed after the first falls that we first found..and its about 15minutes from the first falls, we found another falls again. Its deeper than the first one. Kinda look scary on the place though.. Big vines hanging on the trees and big woods laying along the river.you can imagine that its in the middle of the forest and all you think is there might have a big snakes in there heheheFB_IMG_150691550610420170930_105053-01-1

But we didnt see any snakes though. I actually was thinking to swim like what i did at the first falls but then im not so confident to do it knowing that its very quiet. So we just took some photos and hike back again to my house. Then again i posted it on social media as the second attempt of finding the real liki falls.. Unfortunately it still not the liki falls hahahhaa.. My goodness. Why is it so hard to find this falls? But that made me more challenging. I dont want to end of my adventure of this falls without finding it for real. Like i want to reach where exactly is  the liki falls..

So again we reschedule another day and go back there for the 3rd time. Lesson learned from the begining,

1.ask properly from the people who are familiar to the place.

2.Never go to the place without the exact information.

20171003_082004-01So again for the third attempt, we passed after the 2 falls that we found and we keep walking along the river and guess what?  liki falls is actually about 3 mins away from the 2nd falls that we saw before hahhahaa.20171003_082229-01-1

20171003_092736-01

Atleast we finally we found it. Although we were struggling along the way because of those big vines and no proper route and everything,All those efforts are worth it. The water is very fresh and cold. You can soak yourself in the water until you have enough but i dont think you want to stop swimming cos even myself admitted that i really wanted to stay there playing in the water. Its very fun though. And those 3 attempts of finding it, it didnt matter. Im having fun 😊

So if you wish to go there, you can contact me.tru here or tru email.

I can go with you as long as its weekend (saturday) cos thats my free time from work.

HAPPY TRAVELING!!
